Didn't they have spoons back then?

I heard a bird sing in the dark of December, I am nearer to spring than I was in September.

Yes, of course since spoons were in use long before forks came to the UK. Just not for eating a main course

He looks like what happens when you punch a cow!

That's what i thought. But i did think it was funny watching them try to eat the peas with the two-pronged fork.

I eat my peas with honey
I've done it all my life
It makes the peas taste funny
But it keeps them on my knife

I was taught this rhyme as a child because I hate peas and my dad thought by getting me to say it every time we had them I'd grow to love them somehow, lol!

Oh man..do I love this scene. I had to rewatch it a few times. The expressions on the ladies' faces were priceless especially after Mary starts eating the peas like Holbrook.
