if Disney Had D.C.

would that kill The Super Hero Movie, is watching WB trying to get a good Dceu going half the fun?

The DCCU’s biggest problem in my opinion is not the lack of storylines because the content is there, I mean off of Batman’s Gotham Universe alone you could have multiple blockbuster movies that could easily out do marvel but the true issue imo is the lack of commitment to characters by the actors chosen to play iconic DC characters.

Robert Pattinson has just been casted as Batman and I honestly have to say I’m not excited because once again we have a new Batman that we are getting with a new director’s interpretation of the bat. At this point we’re playing comparison games. Marvel succeeds where DC fails in this regard because RDJ played iron man for 10 years he has cemented himself as an iconic superhero character and that legacy is going to stay with Marvel for years to come.

How many iron mans do you know? One right, well how many Batmans do you know? off the top of my head right now I know 5 each one very different from the rest and that is wherein lies the problem. The lack of consistency is killing DC. If anyone knows why DC actors don’t stay for the long haul please let me know.

That's a part of it I would say. WB incorrectly thought with movies like Green Lantern; Batman versus Superman; Jonah Hex; and Justice League that people would just show up regardless of who's in the movie or what's it about. Big mistake and now they're paying for it. And yeah, a Gotham shared universe would be incredible just on its own.

Didn't that almost happen a few years ago? I think Disney tried to acquire WB but it never happened. You'd probably see a lot more DC/Marvel crossovers that way.
