Black Panther is a smashing success.....Meanwhile at the Hall of Justice? Aquaman arrives

…………………...crickets...…………….

reply

It made more domestically in four days then Justice League made for its whole run.

Mike if only JL had included a Martian Manhunter, some of the film's listlessness could have been avoided.

reply

And Jumanji just crushed almost all the movies of Marvel! Lets talk about that. lolz

reply

I wasn't aware that Jumanji was a character within the Halls of Justice? Do enlighten us? How does Jumanji help the Justice League again?

reply

The Legion of Doom will crush the Justice League!

Doppelganger!

The Legion of Doom will reign supreme once again!

reply

I can't figure out WHY they decided to leave out Martian Manhunter! Such a great character and much more interesting than Cyborg.

reply

DC/Warner decided to dispense with worldbuilding just to get product on screens.

Salty DC fanboys are absolutely livid that a minor (no pun intended) Disney-Marvel hero outgrossed their tentpole Avengers-wannabe, what a humiliation

reply

Heh.

If they had released Snyder’s 100% dark, joke-free, super ultra grim version (his TRUE version that WB themselves MISTAKENLY deemed unwatchable), then this movie would have outgrossed and outranked every Marvel movie in history! There’s no question the mastermind behind Batman V Superman had a masterpiece in his hands! — so says DCEU fans.

Marvel to DC: “You USED to be good, kid. Real good. But as long as I’m around you’ll always be second best, see? Actually, you’re not even in the same ballpark anymore, see?” ;)

reply

You might as well use Steve Roger's line as the voice for Marvel, "I can do this all day!". No I'm not declaring DC a bully but some of their most rabid fans back in the old IMDB days sure were.

To which T'Challa has always stated, I don't care!

reply

I dunno, this can sell a lot of Blu Ray... Ha, ha, ha...

reply

Good call. I bought a copy yesterday...

And though I am not sorry that I did it was …..

Let's just say...………

Non eventful or not rewarding?

The extras on the DVD are so by the numbers. A history of the Justice League seemed too non-impactful. As a kid I did read JL comics but stopped and can't even remember why. I really stopped reading all of DC and went to exclusively Marvel because Marvel appealed to me more and not because I disliked DC.

Warner/DC will sell a fair amount of Blu-Rays / 4K / DVDs but visually there is not much there to rewatch. There are just so few moments and the characters for me were so uninteresting and uninspiring.

I guess that is what is missing I have no emotional attachment to the movie or the story as a stand alone movie. It is almost as if nothing happened even with Kal-El coming back from Kryptonian sleep?

reply

Yeah... Meanwhile...

As Black Panther dangerously approached but will now pass $700 Million domestic Justice League's WW total didn't pass $658 Million. Just stunning. It is possible that Jason Mamoa as Aquaman just might exceed JL and Aquaman USED to be the DC human punching bag.

Aquaman is responsible for protecting 70% of the Earth and he gets crapped on by everyone!

Aquaman is personally responsible for crapping into 70% of the Earth not used by everyone else.

Stop that! Stop that right now!!

reply

Aquaman and Wonder Woman are wondering: "Where did everyone go?" "We brought money with us and LOTS of it"!!

Was that intended for me? I don't get it. What changed in your view?

Aquaman and Wonder Woman were both more successful than Justice League then and that situation still exists now.

reply

I thought you were implying that no one was going to go see Aquaman
