Not sure if this is meant as a joke or a misreading of an article, but Thor 3's domestic opening was bigger than JL's.

I'd like to see DCEU actually get to a part 3 for any one of their solo films. Nolan was able to do it. DCEU is trying to create a universe, and doesn't even have one sequel yet.
Considering this is the third Thor movie, one would expect it to make more than a Transformer movie.
