I LOVE this movie, love it!
That is all :)
shareIt was on TV the other day. Interesting to see that the actor who played Carson in Downton Abbey plays a similar role here!
shareIt is certainly a breathtaking production. Very dark; one might even say grim; but a presentation to cherish. No explosions or fast driving. Way too good for the usual audience.
shareI think it's under appreciated in terms of acting, costumes and as a period piece. It's one of my favourite films featuring Paul Bettany and I loved him playing opposite his wife, think they made a great screen couple.

But I think the producers overcooked the Charles/ Annie relationship thing causing a near catastrophic breakdown. It and the interminable flashbacks among other flashbacks just succeeded in creating an overall atmosphere of maudlin grief, barely modified by the few minutes of reconciliation and spousal support seen at the end. 🐭 share
Me too! It's criminally underrated I think! Paul Bettany is so good in this film!
