Can anybody please help me figure out which dvd edition contains the Coen brothers short 'World Cinema'?
Am I the victim of some kind of diabolical dvd marketing?
Maybe not. Maybe they just screwed it all up.

I'm eager to know as well where/when/if a complete dvd with all the shorts included will be released.
I saw the Coen brother's segment at the TIFF screening. I won't include any spoilers here- if you want a rundown of the short instead, let me know. It's about a cowboy type (Josh Brolin) who wanders into a pretty empty theatre which happens to be showing world cinema selections. He asks the clerk about the films ('Climates' & 'Les Regles du jeu') and the scene plays up his amused/bewildered reactions to the clerk's glowing recommendations of these foreign 'artsy' films. He makes his choice & experiences his first taste of world cinema.
The short is a great piece- very funny, and very touching. If anyone with any power over the decision is reading this, PLEASE RELEASE THE ENTIRE COMPILATION ON DVD!
It looks like Michael Cimino's segment is missing from the Australian DVD release too... :(
