hard to understand unless your a cheerleader!!

Im a cheerleader and I understood everything about this movie. For example, they are making fun of uca staff when they use the cheer camp staff. I love this movie its so good. There are some other things in this movie that you would not understand unless your a cheerleader! :)

I'm also a cheerleader, and if you watch the film more than once, you notice a few mistakes.

i.e. illegal stunts for "high school" level cheer competitions and Jewelry etc.

i liked the movie nonetheless!

are u from Britain?

me as a former cheerleader, do not recognize any of this *beep* They over did the cheerleading thing WAY to much. The first bring it on was awesome, and not over dramatic on cheerleading legends and rivalry.

wow. I didn't know there were ACTUAL people that could take a sport like cheerleading so seriously that they look retarded. I mean, come on, the stuff in that movie was too over the top. People don't REALLY act like that. Right?

reply

Actually all of the dances and stunts and stuff and tumbling is what cheerleaders do these days
barley any squads just "cheer"

i have been a cheerleader for 15 years
and stunting is taken SUPER seriously. honestly. i can not tell you how many times i have gotten hurt, haha, just my luck ;]

but, the whole "cheer off"
NO. Im sorry. I have not seen anyone do that.
People who do that are LAME.
CHEER OFF?
stupidest thing, EVER.
Bring it on [the first] was the closest to how real cheer is.
the rest suuuck.

the last three bring it on's made me remember why highschool is a load of crap
the stereotypes were a little too much
of course the acting sucked
ive seen some cheerleading competitions on espn
and i thought the first bring it on did a pretty good job with that
this is a movie, not a documentary
so the cheerleading isn't the primary thing here
the acting is
so i'm giving this bad movie a 4/10

hey guys, i was wondering about the illegal moves if your in high school, are there groups were if your too young at school you can go in your own time to practice them, like a private group? are there competitions for squads that arnt from shcools and are just talented individuals that set one up?

If a stunt is illegal for High school level, the squad's coach and/or supervisor will more then likely not permit them to attempt it, reguardless if its for competition or anything else.

As for dance squads and other cheerleading squads that arent directly associated with a school, things might be SLIGHTY different with their coaches, but the UCA will still enforce the rules on them.

reply

there are all star competive teams.

or elite and things like that.

reply

All Star teams have by far the least rules and they do the most stunting.

reply

also what you gotta knotice about the film is that if you actually decide to watch the credits it breaks down every team. the flamingos were the UCF golden knights college cheerleading squad. the apopka high school eagles for peeps the dr phillips panthers high school cheerleading team for some more peeps. and a whole bunch of all star and elite none school related teams.

so on one hand yea the stunts in this film are over the top. hell half the cast are playing high school kids and they are over 22!!!! jennifer tisdale aka chelsie is one of them. the entirety of the flamingos for sure!!

reply

hey, umm i'm not a cheerleader (never have been, never will be) and i understand everything in this movie...

reply

That's like saying you won't understand "Step Up" unless you're a dancer like me, or you won't understand "Harry Potter" unless you do magic.

I feel cranky and pubescent today and I don't know why. I'm going to take it out on people I like!

It's YOU'RE.

You're = You Are

At least you understand cheerleading...

reply

Yeah, I'm a cheerleader. I think a lot of it's suppose to be comedy for cheerleaders, not just for cheerleaders, but you might understand it a little more if you are one. We know some of the stuff in these movies defiantly does not happen, but it's funny because it would be stereotypical of a "high school" cheerleader, we can laugh and be like, yeah right.
