2008 MTV Movie Awards: Best Song Nominations

That's right, and one of the places is here. This is actually the third time I'm posting on this page, so here we go. Let me start with an explanation as to why the category is not on the home page website of the awards show. The Best Song category was a discontinued category last used during the 1999 MTV Movie Awards. It has been used by this poster ever since, because I feel certain songs fits the mood of different movies. I started small, limiting it only to my family and friends, but expanded it in 2002 to via one message board only. Now it's time for me to expand a little wider. Here's how I did the voting:

For this categoy of my choosing I started with a list of around 35 songs from this year's films. This includes music videos, singles (from TV and/or iTunes), and other nominations (i.e. Oscars and Golden Globes). I narrowed the field down to six. This year's nominated songs are:

Best Original Song
“Honestly” by Cary Brothers (Feast of Love)
“Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)” by Chris Tomlin (Amazing Grace)
“Falling Slowly’ by Glen Hansard and Marketa Iglova (Once)
“Say” by John Mayer (The Bucket List)
“So Close’ by Jon McLaughlin (Enchanted)
“Signal Fire” by Snow Patrol (Spider-Man 3)

Which of these songs was your favorite? Post your response here. You can't get this category on MTV.com, only from cgw-3. You have until June 2 to vote for a favorite song. I'll tally up the number of votes and the winning song will be posted on the Wikipedia webpage along with the other winners.
