Even though I've never really been into the whole "golden-curls-blue-eyes" look,Vasily Stepanov is probably the most beautiful man I've ever seen. He has a classical type of beauty - like the most wonderful representations of the Greek god Apollo. An excellently chosen person for this role - he looks perfect, just as the people from Earth should look in this world.

Not exactly. Stepanov sure looks cute but Maxim is described in the book as hazel-eyed, blackhaired and brownskinned (maybe tanned)

He's pretty, yes, but as an actor, all he seems to know how to do is smile. It's like watching a 2-hour soap commercial. (You know how showers seem to be so much fun in commercials: "This soap is so great I can't use it without grinning!")
