you know...i thought this show was stupid at first...

but with the recent rise in 'famous' YouTube celebrities and how I watch them now (i'm 23), it's not anymore.

I noticed that most of the many famous people who started their channel around 2006/2007, they're practically a famous Youtuber now.

Crazy how relevant iCarly was at the time to embrace that when it was just starting.

The golden age of post-adolescent weeknd carelessness is now.

I never really thought about it like that, but you're right.

I do remember people like Renetto, Daxflame, Fred (both of whom are now doing "real" Hollywood stuff), and Geriatric1927 all started doing videos around that period and became Youtube celebrities. Of course I don't think Renetto or Geriatric1927 are as popular now as they used to be, but that's how it goes.

It's amazing looking back now that vlogging on Youtube is so prevalent. Funny to think that at one point, Lonelygirl15 got insanely popular by doing nothing but talking in front of a camera in her bedroom (prior to it coming out it was all a "game" of course)

This is actually very true. People like Jenna Marbles have literally made vlogging like their career. Half the time I wish I had a youtube channel/following so that could be all that I do. Also Grace Helbig, the Daily Grace girl; I've seen her pop up on VH1's Best Week Ever and she was/is an aspiring comedian so vlogging has basically created an outlet for her.

Those are some pretty big name youtube celebrities. I follow others who have only like 20,000 followers and they have made it like their job. I think the only thing that made iCarly weird at first was their age and that they actually had such a nice setup for their show. Half the vloggers I follow seem to just film videos from their bed.
