Should I?

Should I give this show a chance? I have watched Grey's Anatomy from the beginning and have seen every episode at least 3 times. I also like Addison and Amelia (when she came onto Grey's Anatomy). Should I give this show a shot?

I didn't think I'd like it after seeing the set up for it on Grey's. For me, it pales in comparison with Grey's. But it's not all bad. It certainly has changed my feelings towards some characters. I liked Addison on Grey's and now I can't stand her on PP. And I didn't like Amelia on Grey's without seeing her first on PP. Now I like Amelia on PP and Grey's.

I wish the show would focus more on the patients and less on the doctors' personal lives. PP really knows how to beat a storyline to death. But if that doesn't bother you, then I say give it a chance.

I was sceptical, but I really enjoyed it.
Some episodes are a bit boring but overall it's worth a watch.
Especially if you'd like to know a bit more about Amelia or see a couple of episodes with Derek in.

You should give it a chance. Just so you know (and I have heard alot of people say this? It dosn't start good but gets better, the first season is really pale.

I just started watching (cause I started to watch Grey's a few months ago... just to see Denny Duquette...LOL) ...anyway, I am trying it, but, sorry, I do not like Addison or Violet at all.

:.:.:.:... Whatever you do, do it with kindness ..:.:.:.:

I was skeptical too. I didn't think I'd care for it but I really enjoyed it. Just finished watching through the series for the first time. I think the rule of thumb is that if you like one Shonda show, you'll probably like the others.

Private Practice really surprised me because it never appealed to me. Granted, I was younger when the show started and maybe or most likely, I wouldn't have been able to connect to it at all back then but now that I have seen it, long after it went off the air and also after having watched Grey's then yes, I can absolutely say that it is worth it and also easy to get hooked to

It's not Grey's Anatomy, PP has a different dynamic but it is very character driven and also interesting in that there are many plot twists along the way, so it constantly keeps you hooked and interested in it and it's easy to care about the characters and even like them, or dislike them at times but then they'll win you over again
the characters are very human
there is no super-human, flawless, larger than life being on it but they are all excellent in their own ways and shine so it's lovely to watch

there's humor in it too, which is always nice and pleasant

Charlotte King became my favorite character and Charlotte and Cooper are my favorite couple

and yes, I can see how 'the rule is if you like one Shonda show, you most likely will like them all'

because they all come from the same place, [from] the heart pr at least I see it that way with Grey's and PP
