Tom Dwan

This guy annoys me. I just wanna punch him in his vampire pale face.

reply

Come on, he's an interesting player. Forget about his idiosyncrasies for a moment and understand that the others don't know what the hell he's doing which is quite an advantage.

"He sent the rain."
"Who sent the fire?"

reply

I like watching Dwan play. He seemed very unpredictable, and def. made moves that confused the other players, and in a good way.

reply

He's alright. I didn't like him at first, but Ya can't help but be jealous of somebody who looks like he barely reached puberty and already has made millions of dollars.

reply

He does look like a pale faced vampire. I don't like him.

reply

nothing wrong with it, but he is 100% gay.

reply

If anyone was gay it would be Robl. He wouldnt even look at Leeann's sweet, huge, beautiful rack.

reply

yeah, he is too. you are right. i got no problem with it. hell, i thought Neagreanu was gay for about 2 years, and he rules.

reply

I like watching Dwan, but i get real annoyed when he says in a slow drawn out voice "i follllddd" or when he says "nice hand sir". The 'nice hand sir" comment is so fake. Other than that, he is definitely interesting to watch because of the plays he makes regardless of the situation.

reply

the "i folllllllldd" that is how gays talk.

Y'all saw him play against hellmuth on PAD? He had his chips in is hand ready to call, but he pretended to trow em in, but didnt. But Hellmuth almost bought it,so did Ali Nejad. And so did I, it was a sweet move. I tried to copy it but it so far no succes

haahha naah dude i wasnt talking bout playing in a casino. Just a homegame with some friends.

reply

No matter what people say about him....he has succeded in poker at a very young age where i bet zillions have failed. He can laugh all the way to the bank so i bet he doesnt give a s... what we viewers think of him.

I think he can be a bit annoying but then again....he makes it more fun to watch poker tv. ...if all were like Chris "Jesus" + Patrick Antonious + Barry Greenstein etc. etc.... You would really watch it in the long run ??

Nahhh...lets have more tables with Tom Dwan, Phill Hellmuth, Mike Matasow, Daniel Negraneu, Sammy Farah and Gus Hansen.....now thats poker entertainment...I love it when Phill and Tom have a clash haha..

reply

The guy's a bigger talent than I thought (and I had respect for him) but combine that with the way he's getting cards and he's got everybody at the table thinking.

reply

but the dude is a complete luck sack. and i thought Ivey ran well.... this dude gets dealt the deck on every bad hand he plays.

if i ran half as well as this kid... i'd be a millionaire by now.

reply

Yeah, the deck hit him pretty hard when he had a 8 high flush draw and MISSED. Yet he pulled off a huge bluff on the river to push Safai off top pair. The deck had nothing to do with that hand.

What about the countless other hands where he had the worst of it but his aggression won him the pot?

He's been re-raising Bob Safai all week......the deck nor the cards have nothing to do with it. He's abusing a loose/passive calling station who check/folds 8/10 hands.

Has he gotten lucky? Sure. That 1 outer against Antonio was pretty sick. But if Antonio had of kept firing on the turn (say a pot sized bet) Dwan might not have gotten there with his QQ. Antonio let him have a free card and had to pay for it.

Elaborate a little more on all these garbage hands where he's getting lucky.

It isn't luck when you bet with a gutshot and 2 pair decides to JUST CALL. Then you get there on the turn. If 2 pair puts in a sizable raise against the gutshot do you think he's going to be calling OOP drawing to 4 outs? No. The other player's bad play allows him to hit more hands than he should.

reply

I like watching Durrrr, but can not stand Safai. He is so overmatched its ridiculous. Plus, his tough guy attitude annoys me to no end.

reply

safai is the biggest fish of them all.

reply

So you ar damn near broke?

reply

<<This guy annoys me. I just wanna punch him in his vampire pale face>>

i thought i was the only one. i cannot stand him, and everytime i watch him play i just wanna knock him silly. such a douchbag.

reply

Yeah, you are jealous.I am too.I mean, kid's so young and already has millions of dollars at his disposition.

All the guys commenting on these boards added together most likely won't have that kind of money in THEIR LIFETIMES.

------------
And those commenting about how he's "gay" are really pathetic.
He has little social life, that's true, cause well, you know, he plays poker online most of the time but that doesn't make him gay.

Again, it's just jealousy speaking.
Bashing others to make yourself feel better is really really disrespectful.
DEAL WITH IT

What the *beep*?

What exactly was the reason for writing THAT?

I wrote the message because some douchebag who is obviously JEALOUS of a successful poker player wrote that Dwan is gay to make himself feel better, cause he knows that he will never be as successful as him.

I wrote the truth.

What exactly does "commenting on someone you never sat with, so really havent a *beep* clue how he plays, and think you know something about poker" supposed to mean?
O_o

Where in my message did you see ANYTHING written about Dwan's play?
I just know that he plays on one of the highest stakes in the world, that must say something about his skill level

Maybe you pressed the wrong 'reply' button or what?

reply

Ignore ArchStanton, he thinks he is a better player than Doyle, Barry, Durr, Hellmuth and Negreanu combined. He is also a multiple black belt in martial arts, has two college degrees, and is smarter than everyone else as well....

Allow me to introduce myself. I'm a man of wealth and taste......

reply

And he wouldn't accept your challenge. What was the challenge you made?

reply

I offered to play him heads up for any stake up to $2,000, at whichever poker variant (7 card stud, Raz, HORSE, Omaha, Hold 'em) he wanted, at the site of his choice, whenever he wanted. So far, no reply :o)

reply

Hmm.. looks like somebody got called out on their BS and couldn't back it up

reply

I actually think he looks more like Eddie Munster :)

His voice annoyed me at first. And when he first appeared on tv he didn't really know how to act. He would shout things out like "OH MY GOD YOU GUYS GUESS WHAT????" only to say "OH NEVERMIND, IM ON TV!" lmao.

At first I thought he was a bit of a punk, but hes grown on me. Used to watch Daniel N but after his performance/bad luck in HSP I've moved onto Dwan.

And the pale faced vampire thing? Even that seems hot now, hes like a cute count draculas son. Maybe its the money and power, but he sure is interesting to watch. Seems nice too.

Wish he got more sleep though, always looks tired.

Earlier in the thread I defended Dwan but some things are starting to annoy me. I've noticed stuff said at the table too. As for his looks I don't care and he has a voice from nowhere. They say he's from both Boston and Texas but I don't pick up on that at all.

He's a big talent and even if players know his game it still takes a lot of guts to call him after he's thrown in a huge raise (Huck didn't the other night with the best hand, but still won) but it's the only way to stop him.

I like his style. It's crazy, but it works. He's actually one of my favorites.

I'm talking to a Rasta Man about a bongo....
