This move was way underrated......

I wonder if its because it didn't have huge stars likem Tom Cruise or Angelia Jolie to play the couple.

The story was really good without plot holes and a very good twist. Other movies that are under rated like this would be "Mr. Brooks"

I agree. This was an excellent movie. I always liked Timothy Olyphant but it wasn't until this movie and The Crazies that I became a huge fan. He played Nick very well. American Jedi, haha.

"To Protect and Serve"

reply

It was decent. I guessed the "twist," but I would have been disappointed if I hadn't been right, so...

Loved Oylphant.

Don't even compare mr brooks to this piece of crap. Mr. brooks is an awesome movie while this one is a bad joke with no twist whatsoever.

My opinion...

reply

Agreed fully. Mr. Brooks WAS excellent and this movie was like, okay toss the dice, which of the 3 couples will the oh so smart Twohy convince us is the killers.

I ceased caring long before the movie ended.

Agree with OP.

This movie was way underrated and many of it's critics come across a bit crass.

If only you could see what I have seen through your eyes.

reply

Are you crazy? Mr. brooks was crap. Could have been good but too much going on.

reply

I thought the film was uneven. There were some great aspects but it was not consistent throughout the production, some parts came across like an episode of The OC. A good film, definitely worth a watch, but falling short of great.

Bang on the money!

I also thought it was a bad movie. I remember when it came out there was a lot of people saying it was amazing, and the twist was epic, it was the best scary movie in years, etc. It had around a seven-point-something on here, and I said give it some time. Eventually it'll level out to where it should be, only to have people on the board say I was wrong and in the minority and this will be considered a classic someday, etc.

Funny to see it with a six-point-something now, with people realizing it's pretty mediocre...

-No, i'm more proud of the general public for giving this the mediocre score it deserves. It has a D right now, which sounds about right...

Just saw the director's cut, and I would have to agree with the OP's sentiments. I went into it with pretty low expectations but ended up having a lot of fun - and got very invested in our American Jedi and his lady there. XD Also loved the overall 'feel' of the film, and personally I think that it succeeded in being what it was supposed to be.

(Also agree on 'Mr Brooks'. Definitely worth watching.)

I give it a 6/10 due to the fact that it only took me 15 minutes to guess who the perps were probably going to be (after all of the couples were introduced). I watched the rest hoping to be wrong, but that didn't happen.

Otherwise, the film is done pretty well. For anyone reading that hasn't seen it yet, it's worth a viewing.

I gave it an 8/10. The plot wasn't the best and some of the conversations between the two perps were very weird when you put them in the context of them being the perps. For example why did Zahn make such a big deal about the other couple being in Oahu at the time of the murder when he knew they weren't the murderers? However, I think the movie did a good job of executing what they intended to do. It is very entertaining.

With great power comes great responsibility.

He might think they saw him and Cydney there without realizing it yet?

I liked how Rocky comes across first as real dorky but later, when the twist is revealed, he genuinely turns nasty, it's a physical change as well as his personality.
I gave the movie 7/10, I enjoyed the ride so that makes it pretty good in my eyes.
