What town?

In what town in Maine was this filmed?

reply

I'm going to guess Brunswick.

I guess this because at the screening I went to, Jennifer Venditti said that she would be going to a screening in Billy's town "next friday". On the screenings page of the Billy the Kid website, the only Maine town that it appears at is Brunswick, which is on the exact date Venditti said she'd be there (not to mention the note that states she'll be there "in person")

Really Brunswick? The description on Apple Movie Trailers says a small toen in Maine. By Maine standards Brunswick is not that small of a town.

reply

the credits said it was filmed in Lisbon Falls, Maine

Some of it was filmed in Lisbon, but Billy goes to Mt. Ararat High School, which is in Topsham. The screening tonight was in Brunswick, which really isn't small compared to most Maine towns, but I guess comparatively small in relation to most towns in the U.S.

When I saw "small Maine town," I was thinking of some place like Bingham or China. Brunswick's a city, and Topsham's not that small, either... I guess it's all relative, when the whole state is only 1.2 million people.

I have yet to see the movie, but in the trailer, Billy and Heather are walking down Main Street of Lisbon Falls. I grew up on those streets and it's kinda cool to see them on the screen. So now Lisbon Falls is known for Stephen King, the horrible soft drink Moxie, and Billy the Kid...

Brunswick is definitely the 5th largest "city" in Maine, but also definitely a smallish town by any other standard. I grew up there. But yeah, the movie was shot in Lisbon Falls, I believe.

It is without a doubt, Lisbon Falls.

Check out the Google street view of the café...

It's in Topsham, ME I went to Mt. Ararat High school with him and he asked my sister and me out. I remember when he was being filmed at our chorus concert's and around school so it's cool to see that it's all finished.
