Not enough character development

The only way a doc like this is interesting to anybody on the outside is through getting to know the people involved. This film had some of that - we got to know the 2 high school dropouts and a couple others - but not enough to make it really captivating. Too much of it felt like a how-to video. Fine, establish that the game is complicated but leave it at that. The game is not interesting, the people who make the game are.
