Excessive boffing?

I've never LARP:ed myself, but isn't this documentary putting to much focus on the boffing-part? There is close to no roleplay and plot-development in the movie, the closest we get is when a girl talks about how removing the Sea-Elfs will affect the economy.

Is this perhaps something that is specific to NERO, or that the movie focuses on the NPCs?
I always thought that LARP:ing was much more about sitting around a fire telling wartales and exploring strange woods and adventure and such.

Because it would be much easier to find out by asking here if someone who already has LARP:ed, especially in the same game/setting as the movie is taking place in (it's not NERO anymore according to wikipedia).

Isn't it obvious why I ask here?

Boffing is like air. It only matters when you're not getting enough. ;-)
