Please don't let Paul Oakenfold do any more sountracks!
The guy makes crap, ruining one movie after another with his horrible selection of music.
His music status is totally overrated.

What?!!......You didn't like that opening song?! XD
shareI am judging the music according to the visual content. And the choice of the song was terrible.
I'm holding Oakenfold personally resposible for the failure of Matrix sequels just because of the music he composed.
He has no understanding of the cinema whatsoever.
I was being sarcastic. I can understand how someone wouldn't like the opening song. I for one, liked it, though.
shareThe music is absolutely terrible. Why did they have to go all techno / rock with it? They should have stuck to horns, strings, and percussion.

I really liked the Appleseed(2004) soundtrack even more that that movie its self XD Appleseed Saga: Ex Machina soundtrack was not so much
Vexille while not the best is decent for me. I almost passed this up based on the Amazon Reviews, but when I saw the JAGs, Woah!
There was the PGR4 Prodigy Tune in it ffs! :D
The Weekend Has Landed
Some of the music is good but some of it doesn't fit at all. I agree that it was a bit distracting, if some one would just go along after him in this movie and take out about half of the songs and put something else it would have be good.
shareIt's one thing to cue in some electronic music for a scene or montage but true film scoring should be done by trained film composers and/or musicians.
Dubbing in orchestral library tracks or making feeble attempts at synth scores would not seem to be the way to go either. Perhaps Mr. Oakenfold should stick to spinning records.
So says you.. And thank god.. We're not you.
Overrated huh? Guess that's why he makes a living at it, film makers use him and overall is a pretty famous bloke.. While you on the other hand? Have done what? Who are you? lol!
Nichole was here.
