I would love to see this story on stage. It just has that feel to me. A musical would be delightful as well. It is so playful yet sweet that it could really work. Plus the era would be so much fun. The music and costumes would be so neat.
I also assumed it was a play. It played like one, especially in the first part. But I rarely get to see plays, and was happy to stumble upon the movie, unaware. I liked it so much I'll have to watch it again, with my wife. (and not my secret squeeze, the Rabbit) ;>
It was actually a book! The book is much racier, with lots of cocaine all around the flat, because Nick was a dealer, thus why Delysia was so afraid of him.
Chase: Wow. Yeah, I get it. House is adorable. I just want to hold him and never let go.
The way the movie was set up kind of reminded me of a stage show. There weren't that many scene changes or too many characters to keep track of. I think it could at least be done as a play but with the right music it would be a great musical (espcially because Delysia is supposed to be a lounge/night club singer... so it wouldn't be far fetched).
