Where does this guy get his money?? and why does he choose to spend it making movies because his writing and directing is atrocious Tunnel Rats wants to be a dramatic Vietnam flick but just doesn't hit the mark, I even thought maybe he tried to use it as a allegory for our recent war and treatment of prisoners but no dice it doesn't even do that.

That's because it IS a good movie. I've seen most of Uwe Boll's work, and he has made ALOT of *beep* It's not a great movie. But it's above average. It's better than anything someone like, say, Michael Bay has made. I think Uwe needs to stick to more original material, and stay far away from video games. I wouldn't say Postal really counts, though. It really is Uwe's movie with the Postal name on it.
Keep in mind though, alot of the folks that HATE this film because of the name Uwe Boll. Most haven't seen it. Many who have pretended to hate it. Very few who hate it actually have a reason. I can bet that alot of the folks that gave this a 1 may have also gave shows like Transformers 2 a 7 or an 8.
I loved this movie! He did good and so what if it isn't platoon....it still was a achievement in his career and thank god he uses michael pare. Michael Pare is a good actor that even sophia coppola used in the virgin suicides. I think some so called movie fans need to step up and analize this mans career. Watch house of the dead and then watch tun nel rats....this man has progressed in his talent and i do believe he should stick to originality and stay clear of video game genre.
sharei gave this a 1 and i gave transformers 1 a 6, and transformers 2 a 4. sooooo. I hate that Uwe Boll made his career destroying video game franchises, I also thought this was a bad movie, I also think saving private Ryan is a bad movie, it shows an extremely unrealistic portrayal of anybody other than Americans. Its pretty much like propaganda. Tunnel Rats tries to be preachy, but with no fleshed out characters, and a terrible flow I think its better than all of the other Bowl movies but still pretty bad.

shareI think some people take this movie in the wrong way and think it's attempting to be this preachy coming of age trying to get us troops out of the middle east.
i personally think they're wrong. i think this film is more of a value of life/waste of war film, and let's face it when you consider it is based on true events you can understand it. I don't think there's necessarily any agenda on the account of Boll, - if he wanted to do that he'd try it another way (and it wouuld probably be pretty crap)
