This was made by Uwe Boll?

I saw this movie today in TV and kept cringing on the flaring flaws on military practice, factual errors and general idiotic behavior of the characters. I said that who ever was the director had raging anti-war flare on. Something I usually frown upon.

But oh man was I surprised upon hearing (reading) who made the film... Uwe Boll, the man himself. Knowing that, I have to admit that the movie was not actually that bad. I have seen other Boll movies and while they have been awful, this one was actually decent. It seems that Uwe Boll is evolving as director towards better... For the die hard Uwe Boll haters (I know they are out there and I can somewhat identify with them being avid gamer myself) this development must be disappointing.

In short: Coming from Uwe Boll, this is really good film despite everything.

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. http://whatpayne.wordpress.com/

Keep politics out of this. You conservatives always involve politics. And who cares if he was anti war or not. War isn't good for anyone. And you obviously don't know the realities of war. Worse *beep* than this happens in war.

I think it just started snowing in here.

I remember watching this when it first came out, as I was on a Uwe Boll binge (I know, so many questions). I remember finishing watching House of the Dead and remember thinking it was the worst movie I've ever seen (at that time). I remember watching Far Cry, which was far, far better than House of the Dead (but still pretty bad and unwatchable). After, I saw Rampage and Postal, I couldn't help but be impressed. Then, I watched Tunnel Rats. Wow, what an amazing and haunting film. I could still remember the ending and the emptiness I felt once the credits started to roll. It really was a really good film, ESPECIALLY for Uwe Boll. This was the last Uwe Boll film I watched, as I wanted to end on a somewhat high-note regarding the director.

But yes, Tunnel Rats was not bad at all.
