The movie is terrible. Giant leaps in the narrative, horrible, awkward dialogue throughout, and padded with repetitious scenes despite only being 80 minutes long.
It's THE ROOM of gothic horror fairy tale movies.

Having read your post, I went to check the reviews. Almost all of the reviews were written by posters with one review in their history, not just the positive but the negative and mediocre as well. It seems that only one of the 13 users has reviewed ONE film other than Spike (and both reviews were posted on the same day).
Does this perhaps mean that the bad and mediocre reviews are fake as well? Perhaps the cast & crew wrote the positives and their old film school rivals wrote the negatives! And then of course you have the well-meaning but bluntly honest relatives supplying the mediocre.
Conspiracy theories are silly. It's quite possible that some of the reviews are plants... but it's also quite possible that there are people out there who have enjoyed the film.
I haven't seen this film but it has peaked my interest. The trailer is intriguing at the very least.
If they are not fake they are written by morons...this movie was terrible!

Either none of these are real or these folks watched an entirely different movie.
My husband brought it home from Blockbuster today and my daughter wants to see it, so looks like I'll be kidnapped for about eighty minutes. It's a shame that the reviews (the real ones) sound bad, because the premise is very, very interesting.

On another note, if you click on the link under the star rating at the top of the page, the one with the number of votes, you will be taken to a page that breaks down the number of votes per star. Twenty-eight ten star votes our of ninety-three means that there are alot of crew members and friends of the producers who came on and voted probably.

The idea behind the movie was decent.
The movie itself was pretty terrible. How any 80 minute movie can feel 40 minutes too long is beyond me.

shareWas curious about this myself...I stopped watching about the 45 minute mark. My DVD player started skipping (needed cleaning), so I removed the disc & after cleaning it, realized I HAVE NO DANG DESIRE TO FINISH THIS TURD!!!!
What happens at the end though? Either they live happily ever after or someone kills the Spike guy!

At the end, Spike kills the girl by hugging her to death or some crap. Honestly, I've tried to block most of this movie out of my memory banks. BOTH of the people I saw it with said it was the number one worst movie they'd ever seen, and they're both movie buffs who've seen plenty of bad flicks. I personally wouldn't go quite so far as to proclaim it THE worst film of all time, but it certainly stinks enough to deserve the one-star IMDB rating I gave it.
sharehe does not KILL her her death is ACCIDENTAL. he tries to save her but ends up falling on top of her and impaling her. i'm sure that was not his intention. Just as it was not his intention to kill her boyfriend (IMO he was dead already the wound he suffered looked fatal from the start.)

He spoke with this some what intellect but yet when he didnt have the strength to pull her up from her accidentally falling off a cliff and hanging on for dear life he flings his self to her and she is stabbed by all those spikes he knows he has and has always had and he then pulls her up all the way. I say that was just a stupid ending. If I was the girl I would have fallen. As for her boyfriend...again spike guy seemed pretty intelligent so by scratching and stabbing the boyfriends face and body up out of anger means he did mean to hurt and kill him imo. Thorn bush guy needed therapy badly then join a circus.
shareYea I was bummed at the ending, not because I cared for the characters or was moved....but I wanted to see his forest lit on fire. Or someone rip off all his spikes one by one. I tried this film, I really did. I gave it a fair shot, but boy oh boy was it a stinker.
shareI am curious. I didn't see the whole movie, probably the last 20 minutes, but is there some meaning behind her taking her rose belt off and throwing it up? Was this for him to use to pull her up? She didn't hold on to one end of it so I don't know how he could pull her up with it. Like I said, missed MOST of the movie so all I know is he had some kind of infatuation with her and then in the end he ended up killing her by trying to save her. He grabbed her and threw her up but when he did that he ended up impaling her with his spikes. Such a weird movie but only seeing 20 minutes just made me want to know a little more to what it was about. Had "spike" seen her as a child and grow up with a fantasy of them one day "being together" or did he just see them in the "woods" and thought she was pretty? Just curious.

That spike guy is singing and sniffling over her body at the end now, and I gotta tell ya, if you thought that was a good idea, you were wrong.
