Pretty much all of the cast is British except for Bill and Tim YET they

all speak in American accents that looks unnatural to them (most of them, Marianne Jean Baptiste does excellent as always)

I would bet money that it was originally meant to take place in the UK but Bill Murray refused to speak with a british accent and demanded that everyone else learned the American accent instead

And the director felt like they didn't have a choice in the matter as he is a big name and having him attached to the movie could generate alot of interest to the movie

He was pretty crap tho tbh in the movie, but that's beyond the point
