Should gay Soldiers be killed by fellow soldiers ?

Hello, After you read this, please reply, i really do want to hear what people think about this..

My friend Brandon is in the Army in Iraq right now and I sent him a facebook message that said,"What do you think the guys in your Platoon would do if it was discovered that one of the guys was actually gay ?

Tyler told me that he is glad that gay people gets kicked out because he feels that American solders could kill their own troops if they found out one of their own guys were gay... so he said that gay guys being kicked out is for their own safety.
"

and then Brandon said,
"uumm...I could honestly really agree with that statement. maybe since we're all so close there would be some reprieve granted, but that guy would probably be on his way out either way.
"

And then I typed this,

"You mean that you agree with the statement that Tyler Slocum said? Why would soldiers kill a fellow soldier ? Just for being gay ? That person just wants to serve his country, not be discriminated against.. Should any one be denied the right to serve ? I some one who is gay serves in the Military and is responsible and professional and dose not behave in any homosexual way way and dose not make any advance's to any one, I strongly feel that he or she should not be kicked out for being gay.. In the 1950's,white Solders had a hard time accepting black solders being with them but over time discrimination towards black people faded away.

What did you mean that there would be some reprieve granted? I do not understand that.. He would be on his way out, either being sent home or killed by a fellow soldier ? I can't believe that? That is horrible ! What dose that saw about our Military, our country..
I HATE discrimination of every kind.. against Women, black people and gay people.

I think it's sad that Military men who are trained to be professionals can't be civilized to a fellow soldier who happens to be different then them who just wants to also serve his country.. It's the United States Military, not a prison... There should be a much higher standard in the behavior but apparently, there isn't"

So, I am asking all of you this,

1.
How do you think gay people should be treated in the Military ?

2.
If you were in the Military and you found out some one in your platoon or unit were gay, how would you react ?

3.
What are your thoughts and opinions on this topic ?

Please comment and express your self in any way..
