awesome movie

it has one of most complex movie ending in recent year,
i think this movie just by the ending itself can be one of the top 500 if not top 100 best movie in all time.

sorry i wasn't listening

Yes sure is!
But the ending needs audiences really paying attention, otherwise the most classic part will be missed easily. I suggest get a DVD and watch it.

*beep* the Mainstream!

Yeah, I watched it a second time just to make sure I didn't miss anything. It sure is a great movie! Any others like it that you guys can recommend?

White_Magic: Some weird semi-recommendations:
I saw a Korean film a while back under the name "Beautiful Sunday", starring Yong-Woo Park, which has some similarities (though I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as Mad Detective). It's listed here:

Doesn't appear to exist on IMDB, though (it's not the 1998 Japanese film with the same title).

Another Korean film, A Tale of Two Sisters, is also similar. Very clever film although, again, I didn't enjoy it as much (largely just because I don't like most horror films). Looks like a US remake was released under the title "The Uninvited".

Yet another Korean film, Oldboy, could be said to be similar in certain ways. The final scene (in the snow) really made me dislike it for certain reasons, but there's a lot of clever stuff in there.

MPD Psycho is apparently quite similar, though to be honest what I've been told about the content has managed to ward me off reading it, so far.

And there's always Fight Club :).

More traditional mysteries that I liked are Infernal Affairs and Suspect X. They felt somewhat similar in tone to Mad Detective, to me, but others may disagree.

Seen oldboy, but Suspect X sounds good. I'll hunt that down. Didn't watch Infernal Affairs, since I've seen The Departed, but maybe I should.

Damn, this thread is old :D

yeah it was pretty amazing, loved it.
