go see memories of murder if you want to see a real movie about murder.
this movie was a waste of time.

This was a great movie and it effectively showed how soul-crushing the effect of such a crime is on a family. This was no silly Ransom type flick and it was not simply "about murder". The title actually gives a plot point away because the majority of the film is about a kidnapping, but I guess South Koreans know enough about the actual story to know where it was heading.
