Actress who plays Sally Moore

Does anyone know anything about Joanne McQuinn, the actress who plays Sally Moore? She doesn't sound even a tiny bit American, so I'm just curious where she's from.

that's what i thought too...can't find an real info on her...

Have you found an anwser to this question???? I'm American and said the same thing but my friend (not American) says that she sounds like other Americans she has met. I completely disagree. Maybe Canadian.

I think Americans can tell the difference between an American and a Canadian in an instant, but I can see how it would be more difficult for a non-American.

Here's what I found on Joanne McQuinn. The first is a link to her agency listing (sorry, you'll have to cut/paste as I don't recall how to activate the link here); the second is a short bio I found in a 2004 article about some upcoming TV show or movie. This should clear things up for us.

Which is exactly how I knew John Barrowman was NOT a Yank the moment he opened his mouth. :-)

And yes, I know he's Scottish and not Canadian.

Oh yeah, the accent becomes distinct right around the border states: Washington, Montana, Michigan, Maine...But if you spend enough time in the US, you'll be able to pick up the difference between a standard, non-regional American accent and a Northern US/Canadian one.

but i'm embarrassed to admit that John Barrowman did fool me :)

To be fair, John Barrowman grew up in Illinois from the age of eight, went to college in the Midwest and San Diego.
Can't get much more American than that.
And I've noticed he doesn't do English accents, only his native Scottish.
