I'm confused about descriptions of Trudi as a 9/11 widow. I just started watching the series on BBCA and she's running a bakery with a husband, who I think just got killed in a car accident. Where does 9/11 come in? And what year is it?

That's the third season. The first season starts with Trudy as a 9/11 widow of several years when she meets Richard. By the third season they're married.

I'm watching the first season on DVD, intermittently enjoying some of the nonsense. Any regard I had for the show just tanked when it turned out in episode five that Trudi's gut feeling has been right and her husband is alive, and the second wife/partner has been playing her for money. I want to know how this guy convincingly faked his death and bilked the US govt out of all that money, but I don't think I'll be watching past season one.
