The Real Story

I like to try and figure out what the real crime was. I just got around today to watching last weeks episode. It was the one where the mother and two teenagers were killed in their garage. I started searching and low and behold this case happened in my state.

The story is about David Camm. He was a former Indiana State Police Officer. He had 11 witnesses claiming he was at a basketball game when the murders occurred. Oh and the 'teenagers' were actually 5 and 7 years old. Camm actually had 3 trials (convicted all 3 times) and his accomplice has been in the news lately.

Finding the story wasn't too difficult and before the show was over I knew what the true story was. Part of what gave it away early on was that Kimberly Camm's shoes were put on top of her vehicle and that was widely reported.

So, if anyone wants to know the real story just google David Camm.

My husband and I recognized it also from the shoes on top of the car. Was sorta bummed because we already know what happened. It was still fun to watch the people try to find clues and solve it.

Could you please tell me how you personally find out the true stories and victims etc. (like who the cases are REALLY about, real names and ages etc.) I know you said you just recognized the case, but is there a way to find out the real cases?

reply

Well I can tell you about how I figured out my case...

I had taped the show two weeks eariler, and I was at home flipping through the channels. I hit the "WE" channel, and low and behold was a picture of the crime scene I had just investigated.... it was creepy.

From what I have seen, most of these crimes have been made into some kind of true crime show; 48 hours mystery, forensic files, etc. Sooo if you are hot and heavy into watching true crime programs... more likely than not you have seen, or will see the true story.

Wow, I'm surprised about the ages of the kids.

So who are in the photos they show that are supposed to be the real victims? Actors??

I wonder if any of the photos they show are the actual victims?

Very interesting. I'm waiting for a Season 2!!

reply

No the photos are not of the real people! They are actors.

But I wonder if people see these actors on the street and think they are the real murderer; I would hate for my only acting gig to be the molesting murderer!

Thanks for the reply Stephanie.

I thougt the pictures, interrogations, etc. were all real. They got me, lol.

Too bad they don't put the show on Court TV. I think it would really take off on that channel.
