Nice try but...

But this was another feeble attempt at Lifetime to take a serious story and make it watchable on TV. It almost seemed to easy for the police to find this girl. And if this guy is as good as they say he is, then I don't think he'd be that stupid to let her leave behind all the clues she did. I'd like to know the real story, not Lifetime's version of the story because this is totally unbelieveable. So many plot holes, doesn't add up. My favorite was the "Equality vacation" line. Really? Because it sounded like exactly what she said. A quality vacation. And other little "clues" that were WAAAAAY too obvious.

I had to turn this crap off in the middle because it was so far from the real story. Also, it was super boring. It wasn't exciting or anything. It was pure crap and that bitch looks nothing like Anne! Except when she was in the truck and she was beat up... then she kind of resembled Anne, but only as a relative twice removed, or something like that. Freaking Lifetime! I was looking forward to this movie ever since they started running commercials for it because I saw the true story on 48 hours. Tsk tsk.

I don't know the real story, but the way it was presented was completely unbelievable. They must have had 20 police officers walking around the victims house, all wearing their uniform caps and jackets. Why? Who was looking for the victim or suspect. They probably didn't have anyone left. I also turned the show off after the kidnapper took a farmers tractor and pulled his truck
back onto the road. That was also hard to believe.

I don't know how many cops really where there, but the town of Kearney is fairly small, about 30,000 when college is in session. This through the cops for a loop. We don't have kidnappings here. We MAYBE have 2 murders a year and there's been years in which nothing is happening, so for this to happen in this town, the cops didn't know what to do.

Anne is my cousin on my dad's side and even i thought this was pretty bad. i haven't seen her since a little after the kidnapping but from what i remember that girl that plays her looks only marginally like her. i recorded it on my family's insistence but probably won't watch it again. it was awkward enough the first time especially the rape scene....
