im not sure why he kidnapped her..when he gave her the ring i thought 'he hopes to one day marry her.' was i right?what was his intention?
and did he rape her?

He had kidnapped her because he could. Rumor has it that he was in the mall parking lot the day before staking it out. And yes Anne was raped.

yes, it was proved through DNA that he raped her.

i think he took her because he was already on the run... he had police chasing him all over the country. minnesota (closed the mall of america to look for him) and louisiana ...she probably just happened to look his way in the parking lot and he assumed she recognized him and would call the police.

it's so sad what she went through, it must been so hard to push her trauma and fears aside and just run to the cops

I just read the court document someone posted, he was so cruel and treated worse than a slave. I hope he never gets out of jail.
