The biggest problem with this movie....

...was the way they depicted the Police and FBI.

The actors were good, the story not bad and the pace good. However, do the Police and FBI normally make their headquarters in the parents home of a kidnapped girl? I doubt it. This, to me, give too much information away leaving less suspense. Every little snippet of info and the parents would howl and cry and the brother clenching his fists. And that FBI woman was next to useless.

Apart from that, not bad movie and well worth watching.

I'm watching, "Dateline" on the ID channel as I type and they did set up an operation in the Sluti home.

As MissMillie said, they did set up shop there and per what I see in movies and documentaries, that is the protocol with a missing person case.

i found this movie a waste of time cause its a simple case of a basic kidnapping which is quite common. If the kidnapper was a seriel killer and rapist then the movie would have an impact.

You're such a nob.

1) He did rape her.
2) He had killed before and almost killed her 1 or 2 times in the movie.

Did you even pay attention to the movie?

Excellent response by leannetjuh, but even beyond those answers is the fact that this is far from a "basic kidnapping" or we probably would not have seen a happy ending. Had the kidnapper been a serial killer his motive, more than likely, would not have been to kidnap someone to ease his loneliness. The other thing that made this movie unique and entertaining was the victim herself. It is uncommon to find a young victim who is able to keep her wits about her, leave clues, persuade the perpetrator to act in her own best interest and simply have the courage to do what was necessary to be rescued. All the time she was digging what might have been her own grave, I'm yelling at the screen for her to refuse to dig anymore, never thinking that a victim that young would have the courage and wisdom to do so. Yep, I was cheering her on as she did exactly that, but then was saddened that she was unable to convince him not to cause further harm to her by raping her. Although, rape victims who survive the assault need to remember that they are alive to rebuild their own lives and to possibly help others - their life is not over.
