The huge effect of music ... 1 strange choice.

I enjoyed this film though it had some strange inconsistencies.

I thought, for example, that the song they chose to use after the first murder ... the one in the car ... was peculiar to say the least. It was a bouncy happy Christmas eve song that changed the mood completely and only very briefly. IMO inappropriately and inconsistently given the rest of the movie.

It certainly shows the crucial role that music plays in setting the mood of a scene/film.

"In a universe so full of wonders human beings have managed to invent boredom. Quite astonishing."

i loved the music in general, i rarely watch credits, but the music kept me.

That bouncy opening piece was what made me realize that this movie was going to be balls out awesome. It was ironic, just like the title of the film, just like "What a Wonderful World" playing while napalm torches the country (in Good Morning Vietnam) or "The Blue Danube" playing as the stewardess stumbles awkwardly through the shuttle in 2001: A Space Odyssey. In each case, the music was absolutely perfect.
