An extra half hour would have helped this movie

I felt the story was too muddled and rushed, especially the jump the cops made toward Keaton's character being the killer at the end. Things that could have been expanded on with more time:

- Real reason he was in Kate's buliding when they meet
- Why Kate took an interest in him
- Stories behind the assignments he had and why he was suicidal
- Story behind the nervous guy in the beginning at his job as a tailor
- The ending could have been less muddled and still retain its ambiguity

I love Keaton and MacDonald, and I understand Keaton was disappointed in the budget he got for this, but I'll have to give it a B-. Interesting but ultimately forgettable.

Well, I don't mean make a $100 million epic, but to me it just seems like there wasn't enough.

Totally agree. It had potential. Movie left me with the feeling of "duh". Not enough character development and the end was just kind of blah.

I loved the ambiguity of this movie, and I'm tired of all the "epic" 2.5 - 3 hour movies we have now that leave very little to the imagination.

It would have been better if it had an ending.
I dislike movies without endings.

I'm somewhat satisfied with the film. Likely endings wouldn't have been as satisfying:

1. Logan is arrested.
2. Logan kills himself and Kate marries the cop.
3. Logan gives up his profession and Kate marries him.

I wonder as well about Logan's initial intentions in finding where Kate lives. Was he there to find out how much she knows, to possibly kill a witness?

- Real reason he was in Kate's buliding when they meet

He saw her when she stopped him from jumping from the roof and he followed her

- Story behind the nervous guy in the beginning at his job as a tailor

He was the one who paid for the murder and the cops were on his trail and had just been asking him questions

Are you kidding? If anything it's too long.

Actually the blu-ray version of this movie (as opposed to the dvd version) has about 12 extra minutes added that really really helps make this movie from good to very good.

sara, if you have time, would you plse tell us what is in that extra 12 minutes of the blu-ray version,(and plse. put 'Spoilers' at the top of your reply.) I don't have Blu Ray. I'm hoping the blu ray ending was better and/or clearer. I also didn't understand what the scene was (or was it a dream?)when Frank goes to some guy who is in bed. I couldn't figure out whether it was the hanged guy or the guy in bed- who was the guy who went to see frank at his tailor job.
If he were the hanged man, had Frank hanged him? And then who was the guy in bed? thx again!
