Superb!

Insightul, intelligent and yes SCARY.

The BBC' action drama genre is finally back on form with The Last Enemy.
Reminscient of Troy Kennedy-Martin's 'The Edge Of Darkness' it reflects governments in the 21st Century obsession with surveillance and just how far they will go in order to police the state and meddle with people's lives.

Our protagonist is mild-mannered perhaps even appearing weak yet see how the pillars of state shake when a 'ordinary' person is expected to tolerate the intolerable.

An important even defining work which gives me great hope for the bbc outside of historical romances.

If you liked this, you would love the BBC's "The State Within"--you should rent it on dvd...
