Dinner (Not) Impossible???

I've watched "Dinner: Impossible" for a while and like a lot of the episodes.

I know that the show is designed to allude to the "Mission: Impossible" tv shows and films, but does the title really apply to the content of the show. I haven't seen all the episodes, but does Robert Irvine ever fail his "missions"? All the "missions" I've seen seemed possible...and completed. lol

reply

He's failed like 4 missions.

My " E " key is sticking.

La, la, la, la Miss Saigon.......

reply

lol Well, I guess the title is applicable then. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for the failed mission episodes. :-) Thanks for the info!

He failed the candy store mission and the Cowboy mission. Those are the only 2 I can think of.

He also failed the international foods from around the world mission. He missed by one dish.

In my opinion the last season, season and a half, they have REALLY set up Robert to fail. Making him set up his own kitchens, which obviously where not tested prior, if they provided equipment for Robert. Like when he cooked for the long shore-men and had to make cooking areas ect, how was he supposed to build his kitchens and drive around finding his food too. How was he supposed to cook these exotic foods safely? Or the camping one how could they not foresee issues there? Even had the weather held, he is supposed to take the gear he needs, then set up and hope he grabbed everything he needed? Then even on a good day catching a dozen or more trout in that small creek?

I realize it is a "reality show" but when they completely set him up for failure like this it somehow ruins it for me...

reply

yes. i agree. it did seem like they were taking the impossible thing literally.
