Is this not supposed to Annoy me?

That he hardly ever makes vegetarian? Me being a vegetarian annoys the he'll out of me because I know for sure that I'm not the only one in the world. When he feeds over 500 people like he did at the phily zoo I really don't think that all 500 people eat meat. Like he had to make a meal out of food that reptials eat and he chooses effing crickets. Instead of doing the logical thing which is using vegetables he chosses bugs! I love the show but that just pisses me off. Also one thing that has nothing to do with being vegetarian is on this ep. He chooses poor rabbits for kids food to make into nuggets. Does he really think that children who want bunnies as a pet is going to want to eat them too?!!!!? Sometimes he just does what's easy for him and not practical for the people eating.

I saw the fruit salid and the eggplant. But what I am saying is that at a huge event like that there are prob quite a few vegetarians and they never give viriaty. The zoo ep was just and example it happends alot. And he did not have to choose the rabbit for the children there was also chicken which he chose for the adults instead. And no I do not need a cheese burger just bc I choose to be a vegetarian and rant because people choose to make tons of meat dishes and one vegetariandish doesnt mean I need a cheese burger bc this happends everywhere not only in this ep and not only on this show.

I think you do need a cheeseburger, and a steak, and a big deep fried turkey leg, and a big juicy hot link, and you need to smother each of the above items in lots of bacon. I hate smug vegetarians & vegans who think they're saving the planet by not eating meat. All you're doing is depriving yourselves of necessary proteins, and depriving your palates of amazing, delectable tastes.
And leaving plenty of meat for the rest of us.

LOL!

Most vegetarians put on an act half the time to appear better and more healthy than everyone. What you don't know is that when no one is looking they occasionally will eat a hamburger crouched over the car steering wheel in a McDonalds parking lot.

This clearly demonstrates your ignorance. It's a myth that vegetarians/vegans are lacking in protein- completely not true. We get plenty from leafy greens, nuts, legumes, etc.
I don't impose my eating choices on anyone. I notice, however, a lot of meat eaters get so defensive about my food choices! Why do you care?! You're defensive because deep down you know it's the natural choice, I believe.
To each his own- veggies/vegans are depriving themselves of nothing. Eat what you want, let others eat how they choose. Don't impose your misguided opinions on others- especially when they are so plain wrong!
Oh, and we are helping the planet, btw.

Somebody needs a cheeseburger really bad.

I've noticed a lot of chefs really hate cooking vegetarian. Anyone else noticed that? I've heard Gordon Ramsey bash vegetarians, Anthony Bourdain, and a few more too.

You can't please EVERYONE!!!

What about all the people who are sugar free? Gluten Free? Low Blood Sugar? Diabetic? Macrobiotic? Atkins? No Dairy? Etc, Etc, Etc. The list goes on...Eat a salad and call it a day.

You are so right shiloh!

And don't forget those who demand kosher meals.

People are way too rich and spoiled. We all know what happens to those "survivors" in The Andes...or Donner Pass.....

Chefs hate cooking vegetarian because the richest flavor comes from animal products: butter, stock, demiglace, cream, eggs. These are all critical components for just about everything chefs make. Cooking vegetarian eliminates almost all of their repertoire, and even what they can make out of just vegetables usually requires compromises that make for what they'd call a substandard product. Imagine if you told a pianist that he had to play a solo with only the black keys, and they have to be out of tune, but it's okay because you're playing for deaf people; they wouldn't be happy. That's what chefs see when they cook vegetarian.

Anthony Bourdain has a line that I rather liked about vegetarians though: "Fifteen Dollars for a few pieces of zucchini and eggplant on the grill fits my foodcost just fine."

"are we gonna die?"
"yup"

As a fellow vegetarian, I have to say that while it is nice when places accommodate vegetarians, with such a huge restriction in your diet you just have to get used to working with your options. I have been at plenty of work functions, BBQs, etc where I'm simply eating bread and condiments. And you know what? I do it with a smile. I would rather make do with less options for one meal here and there than make someone feel bad that they didn't have more to offer me. It's just one meal, get over it.

To quote Frankie Boyle, (one of the best stand ups to have ever been born), yes there is a vegeterian option, you can *beep* off. I hate people that shove their views down other peoples throught's. Humans evolved to eat meat, the animals that you love so much are significantly harsher than a human when it comes to eating other animals i.e. ripping a beast to pieces live. Eating meat is nature and you vegetarians are infact unnatural with your diets. Please learn that you are a minority that just wants your own way at the expense of both others and nature itself, please by all means express your personal freedom to be a vegetarian, but dont go against millions of years of evolution, nature and society by saying that something natural is wrong.

reply

I agree with you except for believing in evolution, I think its all *beep* that they feed to us at school but whats sad is you cant even pray to god anymore either.

reply

That's just scientifically untrue. We have not evolved to eat meat! So annoying when people who have no idea what they're talking about preach. Do your research.

Why should the entire world bend over backwards to cater to your lifestyle choice? The general public would have a more positive opinion of vegetarians if they didn't whine, bitch and try to cram their lifestyle down our throats. With that being said, I can't think of one episode where he didn't make at least one if not multiple vegetarian dishes.

liberalism is a mental disorder.

reply

I dont believe in catering to vegetarians. You come to my party or function, you eat what is served or you can stick to salad and breadsticks.
