Is it possible? Is this the worst movie ever made?

I think Electric Zombies could be the worst movie ever made. Here's why:

1. The title is misleading; there are no zombies (in the living dead sense of the word) in Electric Zombies. The word "zombie" really shouldn't have been used in the title.

2. Either major portions of the dialog are improvised, and poorly at that, or most of the actors never bothered to learn their lines. There's a lot of repeated dialog, a lot of people talking over one another and just generally, clichéd writing. Each scene meanders, taking way longer than necessary to get to any semblance of a point.

3. In addition to bad dialog, you can't hear most of what's being said because apparently the entire movie was miked with only the on-camera shotgun microphone. That's the only explanation. If a character is more than a couple feet away from the camera, you hear about every other word. Turning the volume up doesn't help either. It's literally impossible to turn it up loud enough to make out what's being said because static and ambient noise just overpowers the dialog.

4. The main character of the film is supposed to be this tough, bad-ass, dirty cop, which is completely unrealistic. No one would ever believe that this 30-something, fat, annoying, nervous, one-earring-wearing, bald with a bad 90s goatee, piece of white trash, is a detective. In the real world, becoming a detective is a significant accomplishment. One would need to be physically fit, fairly intelligent (some jurisdictions require college degrees), and an extremely hard worker, and it would still take years to earn the promotion. I'd be surprised if this guy could spell his name correctly.

5. For some unexplained reason, one of the characters is shown reading a newspaper with the headline, "Nazi's bomb Iraq." If this is the filmmakers attempt at making this film set in some dystopian future, they failed hard, because other than the one crazy headline, the world in Electric Zombies is no different than ours, which makes me wonder, what's the point of including that?

6. There's an unexplained shootout in a porn shop. Then I realized that the plot of this film is actually worse than the plot of any porn movie.

7. The camera crew must not have had tripods available. Every scene is filmed, hand-held, making the entire film shaky and badly framed (and not in the currently trendy "shaky-cam" style either). In many scenes, when two characters are speaking, the camera pans back and forth between the two. Any half-competent director would have used two cameras and cut back and forth between the characters.

8. The main character, no joke, uses the line, "We're undercover cops." Well, not anymore you're not.

9. Night scenes are lit with ambient light, a technique that can be done well, but in Electric Zombies only serves to make the movie look like a home video.

10. Most of the characters wear sunglasses most of the time. Indoors, outdoors, day, night, whatever. Three types of people do this, douche bag guys who want to look tough, professional poker players and apparently amateur actors who don't know how to control their expressions. Rather than learning how to act, they cover up half their face with shades.

Seriously though, in conclusion I don't want anyone to think, 'hey, this sounds so bad it might be fun, let's rent it.' I promise you it's not even worth that. Do yourself a favor, avoid this thing at all costs

I'm supposedly in this movie. At least they shot a couple of scenes I was featured in. I have no idea whether they used them or not. If there's a scene in which a "zombie" in a blue Knights of Columbus shirt (I bought three of the same shirt just for this) kills a guy by a dumpster with a hammer, that's me.

Lol neat you was in it.

It's not the worst but it is a billion miles away from being the best, even in its genre. Just feels like some home made video cam seedy/horror film with half of it being made up as they went along with people talking over other peoples lines and looking lost, add to that some random music just plonked in anywhere.

The word Zombie has been used in a number of movies including many years ago back in the early days of Zombie movies when people being mind controlled being called Zombies as they have in this movie but it wasn't the type of Zombie movie I was looking for and I ended up fast forwarding some of it.

Story was interesting idea though just badly done.
