My 3-year-old daughter is CRAZY about this show! Instantly her favorite, would rather watch this than anything else (pulling her loyalties away from Max & Ruby, Calliou, and Olivia). And my 14-month-old son lights up and dances to the music (which, truth be told, is rather catchy).

My son adores this show. It is the only thing he has any interest in watching (which I guess is sort of a good thing!). Thanks to Bubble Guppies I can occasionally eat a meal without a tug at my clothing! I hope this does well, and I hope that they have merchandise soon. I know he would love to have a little Oona or Gil doll.

We DVR this show for our 21 month old. She's been watching it religiously since she was 8 months and loves it. It's very educational as someone pointed out. My little girl imitates their dancing and repeats what they say, also I really enjoy it myself and I sing it together while the guppies sing together - my little one loves it, especially when i participate. I also like the fact that they have an adult, Mr. Grouper, among them and the little fishes have parents. I'm planning on having a Bubble Guppies themed birthday party

My 9 month old LOVES Bubble Guppies! It holds his attention the entire time. I thinks is really cute too, I'm always singing the songs to him & he just smiles & laughs.

Educational You must be joking

WARNING.
The productions frequently defy or reverse the basic physics that small children need to understand . For example, the characters catch and take a flight from an airport and fly amongst clouds in realistic aircraft , all underwater(Sky 30/1/12 4.30) or, another example, torches with flames are used for a open theatre underwater(1/2/12 4.30 Sky).

Don't call someone else an idiot when you haven't mastered basic English. *you're.

You have to also remember that a lot of the time they are playing make believe. Just like when kids play 'lava' they playground doesnt have lava they just pretend it does. Its not a documentary.

reply

Yes because it must be too difficult for you to explain the differences between what they see on TV and what they see in real life. Think they're smart enough to know the difference or that they can rely on you, the parent, to explain it to them? Perish the thought! No, it's much easier to assume their too stupid to understand because you're too ignorant, selfish and lazy to explain anything to them! Better not let them watch Handy Manny, tools don't talk and aren't sentient beings in real life! Better not let them watch WordWorld either, animals and things aren't made out of words to form objects in the real world! Count out anything from the Jim Henson Company, animals and plants can't speak like humans and monsters don't actually exist in the real world! In fact, better not let them watch any child-friendly thing ever because all of it has some fantastical element to it that doesn't exist in the real world! Better just sit them down in front of a news station and screw up their childhood and psyche by having them watch the news 24/7 so they'll know what the real world is really like! It would just be too much work for you to just explain it them, considering it's all very simple explanations, and it's probably for the best to destroy their childlike sense of wonder while they're still young. Ignorant, lazy, selfish parents breed even more ignorant, lazy, selfish people.

If it's been fifteen years or more, it's no longer a spoiler.

I've got news for you, my friend. Bubble Guppies is a fictional show in a fictional place. You do know that there are no talking fish, shrimp, lobsters, snails or clams in the real world, right? There are also no half-human/half-fish children going to school in a coral reef. Oh, and there is no such thing as a "Cookie Monster", a "Snuffleupagus" or eight-foot yellow birds.

To be serious, you look like an enormous idiot when you complain about the unreality of elements of a children's show.

LOL seeeeriously - anyone complaining what goes on in a cartoon needs to see a psychiatrist. Finding negativity in EVERYTHING!!!

I love this show too, and I'm practically in college. It's not just one of my favorite Nickelodeon shows, or even my favorite animated shows, it's one of my favorite shows period. Yeah, I'm not ashamed to admit it!

I really like the music. I was changing my kid and wasn't even watching but heard these songs and was like 1) that's a good song and 2) they sing well also. I love the Outside song, I can't help but sing along..."line up, everybody line up"
