Xmen meets Get Smart

Get Smart? As in that old spy show? So this is about goofy super hero spies? o_O

I caught a little bit of an episode that just aired. A man and a woman were trapped in a cave. I couldn't really get into it because it was obvious I was missing a lot of info. I decided to look it up but as I said I couldn't find anything. If it's Xmen meets Get Smart then I'm not interested. Thanks for the info.

Did you check the wikipedia?

The Avengers [English tv] was a closer fit but I wasn't sure if anyone has seen it. Get Smart was a parody of The Avengers and 007. You have the very proper British woman and the regular guy Will relating to each other. This time they talked about how the woman who has lived multiple centuries and whether she's rules like a tyrant, or not.

Quite a few episodes feature the 2 of them but most involve the Sanctuary team

Xmen's mutants are Sanctuary's abnormals. The team member guy they kept cutting to making a home video is an abnormal with special abilities. The Sanctuary looks after them in same way that Captain Picard had his school for mutants.

What did you like about the show that led you to post here? What was unclear?

Basically monsters and myths are real. The Sanctuary, run by the mysterious and enigmatic Dr. Helen Magnus, looks to protect these special creatures and individuals (abnormals)from a world not ready to deal with their existence as well as protect the world from them when need be. It is a very unique show, a little bit steam punkish at times, and I wouldn't compare it to any one program. Sanctuary is kind of a cross between a cult show and a traditional science fiction show. It really stands out on its own and the similarities to other shows/films have more to do with premise and broad story points than anything else.

Use your imagination and you will figure it out. Don't over think a show. It ruins the fun to do so!
