Has any unsuccessful tv show been renewed a year after it's finale aired?
shareIt wasnt the finale though....only for the season so yea they still could but only if everything gets sorted with the drama between everything. This waiting game is annoying!
shareTaking out the "unsuccessful" and "finale" from the prior poster's question, has a TV show ever been renewed after such a long delay? I wonder if ScyFy doesn't want to officially cancel it, and has just de facto cancelled it. People are mad about Eureka and Stargate Universe, and this would be a third science fiction show the channel cancelled. I think (hope) people are getting fed up with ScyFy's replacement of scripted shows with total garbage like "Monster Man" and that one about cars.
However, ScyFy will continue shooting for the bottom and making these cheap junk reality shows unless people stop watching. And what people really need to do is turn off the ScyFy channel entirely (except for the scripted TV shows). Don't put it on for any reality show, even if you sort of like it, and don't turn on any of their "original" movies (which are just knock-offs of whatever movie is being released that month). And email ScyFy and tell them. If ScyFy's viewership across the board drops, they might get the hint.

shareHey, I still haven't really gotten over their cancellation of "Farscape". I only started watching their channel again, when they hired Ben on "Stargate SG1". And, then they cancelled that and Atlantis. This de facto cancellation is just more of what I expect from the SyLie channel. Emailing them is a total waste of time. They'll do what they want...and I'll change the channel.
shareFarscape is my all-time favorite show!! I still haven't forgiven them for that either. Although I have to admit, I found Stargate's hiring of Ben Browder and Claudia Black a bit jarring, especially because they weren't a couple. They had such amazing chemistry on Farscape.
I still think telling them and then changing the channel does help a little. Besides, it only takes a couple of minutes to send an email.
People in general watch crap, for every stargate/farscape/firefly fan there are a dozen braindead nuggets who can't wait for their next 'fix' of Big Brother or Jersey Shore, SyFy realised this and is concentrating on it's own line of reality shows.
Don't blame the network for trying to make a profit, blame the meatsacks who watch crap television. Idiocracy anyone?
