I can´t agree to the forbidden fruit thing. It is even implied that they had something in the past, on "Vienna in Springtime, remember" that was highly teasing and then the delated scene, there we learn that Magnus visited him twice and on time there was wining and dining. Amanda said once, when asked why did they never had something going on, she said "who said they hadn´t. So it´s not imposible.
I really think, that if we had gotten a season 5, that they would have written them together, how that would have looked I don´t know, but without a doubt it would have been funny.
Amanda often said that Helen loves him, regarding the final kiss she said that is was a "good buy, I love you, get the *beep* out of here, everything is going to explode and one of ous has to survive"
And that she said: "They (Magnus and Tesla) are best friends, he drives her crazy, she drives him crazy and yet there is that tremulous and profound love as only people who have known each other for 150 years could have. There are a lot of sweet, kinda little moments...and because, you know "The Five" is slowly dying out or disappearing, the two of them really have each other."
That is so sweet! And that:
"Within the world of Sanctuary Nikola Tesla is kind of an evil genius and Magnus kind of let's him go about his merry way, why?
Amanda : That's such a good question. You're actually going to see a lot more of the friendship between Magnus and Tesla this season. I think that they ah to know people for that long I mean is inconceivable because none of us have lived that long but to have one of your best friends in your life for over 150 years and to be able to trust them so implicitly and know ultimately at the heart that they are not going to do anything so stupid that it would hurt you. I mean they may do something do a lot of stupid things that will annoy you. [laughs] I think that there is just such a level of trust "
IMHO at the end of season 4 it became pretty clear that they have serious feelings for each other and that everything is not only fun anymore. I think Helen finally realized that she can no longer surpress her feelings for him, even if she wants. I think she realized that with the kiss.
And Nikola of course always loved her, but he has to become serious about that, so that Helen can trust him and so that they have a chance.
I think it is obvious that he will at least for a while go with the team to the new Sanctuary and now, after the kiss he has the certainty that she has feelings for him too, so maybe he will start a try. Or she will make an attempt, that I think is even more likely, cause in this aspekts Tesla is really a coward IMHO. He loves her all time time and is in 100 years not able to tell her, and that in a way that she believes him? No no, I think if we leave that to Nikola then they would never be a couple, so it´s up to Helen.
So that was my little Teslen rant, I absoloutly adore these two and I really wish that they end up happy together, they deserve some happyness, now that the show is cancelled.
