Bret was a such a douche on this show!

In almost every episode, Bret would tell whatever girl "I think you and I have a connection." during one of their dates and then when he eliminates her at the end of show, his explaination would be "I DIDN'T think you and I had a connection."

He totally was! My favorite douche moment was when he dumps Dallas - who then gets angry and leaves w/o saying goodbye to him - and then says she doesn't have any class for not thanking him for letting her stay in his house.

Hahaha, seriously? There's so many things douchebaggy about that! Does Bret Michaels really think he has class? Did he think the rest of those girls had class? Did he think he owned that house that VH1 rented for him? Did he forget about the sex he had the night before w a different girl - so classy?

It might be the most ironic statement ever

I agree sometimes I was so frustrated with his arrogance.

That's actually not really true. I have seen every episode of the first season a number of times and your comment is simply inaccurate. I can't speak to seasons 2 and 3 since I only saw them once and didn't like them but he did not do that in the first season.

It wasn't me who was murdered, was it?

Dude had so many "connections" I started thinking he worked for the phone company. I don't get how one guy can feel something intense, or significant, for 60 different women. Especially when at the end of it all, he went back to his original girlfriend of many years and tried to start a wholesome "family-style" reality show.

He was definitely more and more of a douche as the show went on. Season 3, I think he slept with every single contestant at least one time. Sometimes, more than one at a time. It was pretty disgusting. He just wanted to make money off this show, and hook-up with a bunch of bimbos. That is really clear to me now, looking back.

Watching this again as a slightly older person, I'm inclined to agree. In the first season he was okay but as time went on he just started to suck. One thing that really pissed me off was in season 3 he was complaining about not making any connections so he brings those three new girls. Probably the reason he wasn't making connections was because all he did was take them to listen to his concerts from the side stage. Then three of the girls won a date and he takes them to a friggin strip club and instead of talking to them, he expected them to get on stage and dance with all the strippers. Obviously you're not going to find a connection that easily if you're not putting the effort in. I think the first season he was really genuine about everything, the second season somewhat genuine and for the third season he was really just phoning it in.
