any news on this?
More than a casual Tom Petty fan here (I LOVED the last album, particularly Saving Grace). Just wondering if there were any updates.

I have been looking for news regarding this release as well but haven't found any updates yet. I can't wait for this DVD. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers have always been, and remain, a GREAT band!

Left for us to believe
Oh, I await the day
Good fortune comes our way
And we'll ride down the King's Highway
Yeah Yeah..."

I went to see "The Brave One" tonight (highly underrated flick), and stopped dead in my tracks on the way out of the theater: a poster for "Running Down a Dream" is up at the Paradiso in Memphis, screening for one night only, Monday Oct. 15. So... it *might* be playing near you, too, long as you have a digital cinema handy. (These Monday night screenings are usually to hype up DVD's being released the next day, but I can't find any of the big e-tailers offering it for presale...)

4 Disc Boxed Set. Woo-hoo!
500 guests were scheduled to attend. A red carpet was set up. Petty rolled in in his white Rolls Royce, Sybil Shepard was there but left before the 4 hour movie started. I saw Stephen Root there, as well. I doubt all 500 guests rsvp'd, though. The crowd was smaller than anticipated and the show was late to unreel. Finally it started at 7:20.
What an eclectic crowd. Even the Dixie Chicks attended.
