Was this done on HD video or shot on flim ? Does anybody know ?

It's a compilation of all sorts of different archival footage, from 1950s 8mm to HD footage of the 2006 Gainesville, FL 30th Anniversary show.

The ease of which one can make HD footage look like film leads me to believe it was shot on HD (what was shot that is new, I mean). Film is so much more expensive, and with the right lighting and filters on an HD camera, you can't tell film from HD unless you are an expert, most of us are not.

I say these things because as a producer in local TV, I've done several campaigns (and seen many more) on HD where we made it look like film, so I know it can be done. And you don't have developing costs, etc., etc., etc. Looks good, is less expensive then film and is the smart way to do it these days. My money says its HD but Pete may be a purist and used film anyway. It's almost silly to use film for this type of application anymore, you can have the end result transferred to 35 mm prints to show in theaters and it looks great.

Just my opinion, I don't know which medium was used.
