Should have moved the time slot

Instead of giving Greg some ridiculous weekend show--who the hell watches Fox on the weekend?--they should have moved Red Eye to 11pm. It would give the network late shows a run for the money.

I can't imagine Red Eye without Gutfeld. Very sad to see him go.

Yeah, I DVR Red Eye, and whenever someone besides Greg hosts, I just lose interest. Greg is a great host. I know he'll do awesome on his new show, but Red Eye won't be the same. Hopefully Greg will have Andy randomly come in (or be a co-host), those 2 are great together!

it just occurred to me that my idea would never work. With Fox repeating their Prime Time schedule once for the west coast, the earliest the show could air is 2am Eastern. It comes on at 12am here in Nevada, which is Pacific Time.

Still, it seems to me that something could have been done to save Greg. I am a year older than him and he is my great living example--you don't have to stop acting like an idiot just because years are sneaking up on you.

Personally, I would give him Sean Hannity's spot since I have no use for him. But relegating Greg to the weekend? That's death.

The show was great at first but then became a shell of it's former self. Once Greg started doing The Five the writing was on the wall. Then, Bill left and they moved Andy to the desk it became all but unwatchable.

Still, with Red Eye having a 3:00AM time slot it could never get huge ratings. It's more of a launch show and filler than anything else.
