Retarded. Incredibly hilarious. Everyone was laughing in the theatre.

No offense, but this has to be one of the LAMEST horror films I've ever seen. And who wrote the dialogue in the third act...Shakespeare? There were some "serious" lines that had the Arclight theatre in Hollywood HOWLING at how absurd the film was. Well, what did one expect from the douchebags behind CRANK?

reply

It wasn't a horror film, retard. What did you expect? A guy with a chainsaw mindlessly slaughtering teenage girls?

reply

ummm, i expected a little bit of an intelligent film. there was nothing there besides your retarded girlfriend bent over and passed out.

reply

Ha, I agree. I saw this garbage Saturday night at the Boston Common and there were all bust 8 people (all guys) including myself and my best friend. Everyone was laughing and rolling in their seats at how bad the dialogue, acting, script, etc was. The movie was so pathetic. What astounded me was that the Boston Globe called this a "horror film" and gave it THREE STARS!!!!

My friend and I hadn't even heard of this movie and we didn't even know who was in it, but going on that review alone and our love for horror movies, we went and saw this piece of crap and were regretting it 10 minutes into it. It was so bad, almost straight-to-video quality.

We should have known better, no wonder there were no opening credits. If we had seen Milo's name or Alyssa Milano, that should have been a sure sign. There were no posters whatsoever for this movie in the theater - we were really duped into this piece of garbage.

And the guy who plays Doctor Gallo - is this the ONLY type of role that he is capable of playing??? I've seen him in at least two television series (Six Feet Under, Law & Order SVU) and he's played the same psychotic jittery eccentric lunatic - it's like he just phones in the role repeatedly. In fact, no one in this movie even tried to act. The guy playing the head doctor has no acting range whatsoever. I don't think his tone/emotion changed from when he shook Milo's hand to when he told him his colleagues had been killed to when he gave his condolences on his dead fiancee. I mean, the acting was THAT TERRIBLE!!!

I swear to God I will never see another movie at the theater again until I do some research on it first. I just could not believe that a movie this bad could get a theatrical release?!?! It really should have gone straight to video or cable. My God, it's been a LONG time since I have seen a movie this Godawful at the movies.

I am totally in the minority I guess. A lot of people on here are calling this movie genius and thrilling. DID WE SEE THE SAME MOVIE?!?? It's mind boggling!?!?

reply

this film is for retarded people that nack on their brothers.

I totally agree with you about the acting of the dude who played Doctor Gallo; I actually rather like the actor but he seems to have the "jittery but charismatic dude who also smokes crack" role pretty much tied up, and he was pretty much phoning it in with this one compared to Six Feet Under.

reply

I highly doubt i'll see it. But i'm curious about the storyline. Can somebody please do a brief overview of what happens, who dies etc... :D Your reviews are probably better than the actual movie! You guys give it too much credit! *winks*

ANYHOO...

reply

i completely agree. The main problem for me was that the three main characters - Ted, Jake, the redhead, who couldn't stop screwing everyone nonstop - and pretty much everything they did and said was completely ridiculous.

out of all the things i've lost i miss my mind the least

I loved the Saw and Hostel genre, but at least the plot to those films had some credibility. Pathology was a blatant attempt to jump on the bandwagon of the said genre, while it succeeded somewhat in the gore stakes, the plot was so unbelievable nothing about what they were doing and why they were doing it made any sense at all. As for them all getting sexually aroused by it all "spare me please", a truly awful movie.

reply

Yeah... the Hostel plot is really plausible...

Yeah... the Hostel plot is really plausible...

in case you are wondering the above remark is sarcasm at highest level

reply

Ok ok take a chill pill guys, well it was an interesting plot if nothing else !

reply

Hostel was aight. Saw 1 the best. But people always have to make stupid sequals that sell because of the name. This film looks like one of those sequals, but then to 'Anatomie'.
Rather crappy, but get some famous names and a couple good looking people and someone who gets the weed. Then they seem to all brainstorm about which movie they can easily steal and laugh about it while seeing dollar signs.

We should actually pity these people, instead of giving them more of our hard earned money.

Just a thought.

the arclight? for the money they demand it should be a full refund if the movie isn't at least an 8 on a scale of 1-10

I don't know which version of Pathology u saw, but the rest agreed that it sucked big time. Whether you are an asswhipe who shoud see real 'horror' flicks that actually were scary, or whether you prevere a remake of Anatomie just because it had Milo in it.. no you're just an asswhipe :)-

I can appreciate the concept of "Pathology", but some things in this film were just laughable.

It doesn't help that the characters were one dimensional. Especially in the "group." Griffin just stood around, smoked and acted like a douche, Juliette screwed Ted and played the role of "damaged chick," Catherine drank and made out with Juliette (ooh, two girls making out) and the last guy... I don't even remember his name or his purpose. I think he had brown hair. Anyway, when they were blown up, it was like "Eh, whatever."

Then you had Alyssa Milano, who played the generic supportive girlfriend. They could have done the whole film without her.

I agree with the previous poster that the head doctor turned in a pretty bad performance. When he was talking about the girlfriend's death, he just sounded so bored. And Milo did too. Like they were talking about the weather instead of someone's life.

However, I did like the ending. I was certain that the nerd would be a casualty in the game, but he got to mess with them too.

to those complaining about the actor who plays Dr Gallo being typecast - i think he was in a few zach braff films like the last kiss and garden state and I remember thinking how different his character was in this movie. haha oh well

'Forget about it.'

i love 'horror" flicks and have yet to see any that are actually scary. i mean seriously name some of these so called SCARY horror movies....i've seen a ton and not a one has actually scared me. I love the Anatomie movies, I actually own them. I didn't think of this movie as a horror movie. It was silly and over the top, I didn't care for any of the characters but I was entertained throughout which is why I picked up the film. Hmmm I'm not going to go into a movie like "Pathology" expecting something great, or anything realistic for that matter, just a fun time. Does that make me an idiot?! No. When i want more in a film, to see superb acting, great plot and character development I tend to shy away from the horror or crime/thriller genres because you typically aren't going to find that there. It's more for entertainment, not to be groundbreaking film making.
