Undeserved Oscars

I can't believe this movie won both supporting oscars. I thought it was a good movie overall with good acting, but I still don't think it deserved either of the oscars. I thought Geoffrey Rush was better than Bale in The King's speech and I have no idea how Melissa Leo won. Out of the other nominees I thought Helena Bonham Carter for again The King's speech was better, but I think Barbara Hershey In Black Swan deserved it and she wasn't even nominated!

Bale is always excellant

Still don't get Leo s award

Amy Adams was much better, and has consistently given better than good performances

Don't get how Wahlberg wasn"t given a nod he was great

The Oscars are to much about the politics of Hollywood than the work

You don't have to stand tall, but you do have to stand up!

You'd understand Leos award if you ever met a woman like that from Massachusetts. I live in a City just like Lowell, that's EXACTLY how some women can be. She was scary good

reply

I live in Australia and I think she deserved the award. She was brilliant.

I always looked at Bale's award as a make-up award for his entire career, like Al Pacino's win for Scent of a Woman.

reply

Yeah, we had another similar case this year...

You guys are crazy. Bale was gonna win the Oscar from its first footage. He was great. One of the best performances ever.

reply

Bale was amazing are you kidding me? Leo.. great but unsure about that one. I do agree that Geoffrey Rush was absolutely fantastic and basically could have one it if Bale wasn't that little bit stronger.

Christine Bale and Amy Adams should have won;
Oscar
Golden Globe
Broadcast Film Critics
SAG

reply

The Kings Speech and Black Swan both sucked as movies so the performances did also

Big mistake NOT nominating Mark Wahlberg, for Best Actor

2010 Oscars as they should have been, base on what/who was nominated
Best Actor --- Jeff Bridges
Actress --- Annette Benning
Supporting Actor --- Jeremey Renner
Supporting Acrtess --- Hailee Steinfeld
Best Director --- David O. Russell
