Anyone have a problem watching the end on netflix instant??(spoilers)

i watched the film streaming on netflix instant this weekend and i'm confused about the ending. the last scene i saw was when vincent gallo gets pissed at his brother for finishing and enacting his story as a play to find out it's getting good reviews. gallo, looking depressed, walks pass his girlfriend and out of the room of characters....then it says "you just finished watching tetro" movie over...huh?? no end credits and it didn't seem like a final scene in a movie to me. but the film ran the purported running time it's supposed to but i'm confused cause it didn't seem over. can anyone help me out who's seen it...was this the end of the movie? i can't tell if netflix didn't put the whole movie on instant or coppola ended the movie in a weird way.

Actually that is the end of the movie. I though the same thing at first regarding the 87 minutes but if you watch the time sequence on netflix it actually reads "1:27" which is one hour and 27 minutes OR 87 minutes. I think its just as Manderises says, a play on Tetro's insistence of no ending/resolution. We just got Soprano'd.

Yes!! So frustrating. The film cuts off before the ending on Netflix, and although we also thought at first that it was an attempt to be clever, I posited that there was no way that Coppola would cut a film off in the middle of a sentence, it seemed too gimmicky for him. I also don't think he would (or legally could, perhaps) leave the end credits off, it would be very unlike a director of his stature to do something like that.

I have since read references to scenes later in the film that verify the Netflix instant version is missing a huge chunk of the film. Maybe they'll fix it one day. I liked the film for the most part but I don't know if I'm going to rent the DVD just to see the last 30 minutes.

I just reported the problem, hope everyone else on here does the same!

Yes, I too was confused and disappointed by Netflix cutting off the ending. It´s ridiculous.

We all got balls and brains. But some's got balls and chains.

OMG, DO NOT ROLL OVER THAT SPOILER!!!

ESPECIALLY if you're one of the people who got stuck in the NetFlix cut-off situation, temped by wanting to find out if it's worth seeing the end. Please don't do that to yourself, trust me, it will instantly will kill this movie for you if you see the spoilers out of context. Please rent/buy the DVD instead, it's well worth the time & effort to see this amazing film in its entirety.

Sheesh, it makes me cringe to see that someone actually posted that, especially in this particular situation. But to his/her credit, this string is indeed hilarious, as the same exact NetFlix thing happened to me. My girlfriend & i literally jumped up off the couch together at the same time, like, you gotta be kidding me!! Like I_are_Selina_Kyle above, we too went through a similar thought process: Maybe it was his bizarre but cool way to end the picture? Since Tetro's play had no ending, neither does the movie! But then wait, that makes no sense, and no credits either?? No way.

It was like 11:37pm, so i shot out the door, drove like mad to Block Buster, and thank goodness they had a used copy for sale, which i promptly snatched up with glee. And not only was there more, but A LOT more, like 40 mins as mentioned above, and a key 40 mins at that.

Anyway, t's truly a fantastic picture, one of FFC's best in a long time, so do yourself a favor and see the whole thing before reading any spoilers.
