Spanish Actors for a movie set in Argentina??

the movie is set in argentina right? the argentines and the spaniards speak spanish with different accents right?

then please explain to me why you would use 2 spanish actresses to play major roles in the movie. it just doesn't make sense to me. yes i know the girlfriend says in the movie that she came to argentina from europe. but still, why not use a girl from argentina as his girlfriend? FAIL.

francis, did you think people would not realize this? it's rather insulting i'd say. it's like the old cowboys and indians movies where they used white men with make up dressed up like indians. or when white actors used to paint themselves in black face to portray black people.

it's a bit like casting southerners from texas with their texan accents and setting a movie in the bronx. THAT is how different the argentine accent is from the spanish.
