What was your favorite scene?

I LOVED all of it but I think I'll have to go with when Dave comes back and saves Balthazar from Horvath and Drake.

reply

That's my third favorite. Number two goes from reviving Veronica until Dave has to face Morgana alone. Number one is what happens after the battle. Sensing a pattern here? :)
It would be interesting to note the scene preferences of men versus those of women, and of younger audience members (Dave's generation and teens) versus those of older ones (Balthazar's apparent generation).

Oh, those and Nancy's are awesome, too.

Whenever I hear "Secrets", it makes anything a little more bearable because I think of this wonderful movie.

reply

Yeah, I hear "Secrets" at work sometimes, and now I recognize two more of One Republic's songs that play there. I can't help but like them, not really on their own merit, but just because of their association with TSA.

reply

They have another song, "Good Life" that Disney uses in their commercials so I like hearing that one, too.

Did you ever get the soundtrack?

My favorite scene was when Dave performed magic without the ring forthe first time.

reply

Oh, that was awesome, too. I think it took me several viewings to fully appreciate everything he was setting up there in order to defeat Morgana.

I loved when the wolves are chasing Dave at the train stop and just as they pounce Balthazar arrives and turns them to puppies that just plop on Dave's chest. They were so cute!

reply

Those puppies were cute. I didn't see that coming. It was cute how Baruchel was still holding them for a minute after they landed on him, too.

I loved it too. So glad that Balthazar turned them back into pictures before the train came!

Thats a difficult one. But I think I will go with the one the scenes already mentioned and that is when Dave plays the music using the coils. I enjoyed this movie quite a bit. Deserve a higher rating in my opinion.

Though I'm one of the first ones that gets annoyed how they always stuff these movies with random "comedy" moments, there was one such scene that won me over.

Horvath, trapped in the mirror, with an annoyed business-like look, taps on the mirror with his wand, asking a very surprised fellow to "wake the idiot in locker three", the guy faints, and Horvath just sighs. These delays..

I liked the part where they played secrets throughout the entire scene

Oh wait, that's the whole movie.

im watching it for the second time today on tv, lol! i cant believe i havent even heard of it! its an adorable movie! well, my favorite scene would have to be the puppies being a dooggy lover, lol! and when Balthazar is brought back to life after Dave insults him, haha!

i care, so don't do it

reply

The puppies are EXTREMELY cute!

The rest of us have also bought the dvd since if a movie makes enough in the long run, then that can also warrant a sequel.

(fingers crossed)

reply

Yeah using puppies in a movie to promote "family ideals" that hasn't been used before...

2 of the Chinatown scenes. My first is when Balthazar says he hasn't focused enough and Dave says "Are you insane?" the the reply with the fingers a little apart. Second would be when they're dressed as the cops and he says Saki is Japanese. Then the Star Wars scene with Not the droids you are looking for.

There were surprisingly a lot of good scenes so I don’t really have a favorite, but one that is worth pointing out is the scene that they knew that had to include when they started this project. The scene where the mops and buckets come alive and continually go off out of control and make a huge mess of things. Not having that scene would be like not having pirate treasure in the movie Pirate of the Caribbean, but only more so.

- I don't need to see you faculty identification card.
- These aren't the droids you're looking for.
